My wife loves Yeti. And they are built like tanks. But they are also really heavy and big in comparison.I love the EcoVessel Perk 16oz because its the lightest and smallest 16oz bottle you'll find. It's a good 2-3 inches shorter than 18oz Yeti. And it's less than half the weight. The smaller size and light weight make this my favorite everyday bottle since the weight makes it easy to carry the most often. My Perk fits in every car cup holder no problem. Most Swells, and many Yeti's don't fit in car cup holders.I don't use the strainer/ice dam that often. If you drink tea you know you never leave the leaves in your bottle. I have used it to block ice a few times but its also not necessary with large ice cubes since they won't block the small drinking hole anyway. Crushed ice would make it more useful. The Cons are that the bottle doesn't retain heat or cold well compared to other vacuum bottles. I have used Swell and Yeti and they keep drinks hotter and colder for much longer. But EcoVessel is fine for daily use. I don't camp or hike where I need to keep drinks cold or warm for more than one day. The cap is also only so so. They improved the lock on the cap and it does pop open better on V2. But its also still a plastic cap with a spring loaded flip silicone plug. Not the easiest to clean with alot of small crevices and doesn't seem that robust. It's not amazing but I also don't find it to be a problem. But if you are looking for the perfect everyday insulated bottle for commuting or carrying everywhere, I recommend the EcoVessel Perk because its the smallest and lightest bottle of all the quality brands.School teacher routine. Get to the building early enough to make coffee because its the last time you are going to be free all day. I purchased an Ecovessel a few years back because I loved the locking feature but I quickly found that its true value is in really keeping my coffee hot from 7:00 am when the students walk in till 4:00 in the afternoon when they all get back on their busses. The vacuum design is probably the best that Ive encountered and Ive been through a LOT of thermal cups. I use the strainer insert when I'm drinking bagged tea so that the bags (which just float around in there all day) dont clog the port. Its a really well-designed drinking port as well now that I think of it. Having a few more sips that still have a little heat left in 'em after 10 hours is one of those small pleasures that mean a lot at the end of the day. Just enough to get me home. I bought this smaller size for my wife when she took up teaching too and she loves it. Thanks Ecovessel. Well done!I drink green tea in the morning. The EcoVessel Perk tumbler (16 oz.) is perfect. It keeps my tea hot for three hours no problem. Well-built and well-engineered. I liked it so much, I also ordered one for my wife.Their customer service was excellent too. I had a question if they had an infuser basket that fits this Perk model of 16 oz. They have one on their website, but the size is slightly taller than what I want - about 4.7" high, which is too tall for my 16 oz tumbler. I wish they had one shorter. Are you EcoVessel listening? My coffee stayed hot for hours! This mug keeps my coffee hot for much longer than it needs to. Even if there is only a few sips left, it stays hot. The size is perfect to fit in the cupholder in the car, and the lid stays shut until I tell it to open, then it opens with ease. This is my third one of this brand. Its hard finding triple insulted bottles . Its so much better at keeping drinks cold than a double insulated one. That being said, I dont like the new top that theyre using. The old top had a silicone and hard plastic straw and was easier to drink from and was more like a sports bottle . With this top you have to press fairly firmly to get the flip top to open amd flip your head back to drink drink from it. It doesnt seem like it would last that long( because ot the spring action) . This top also doesnt have a carrying handle which I failed to notice when ordering. It keeps the drinks cold/hot for a bit longer than my other insulated bottles. So far no leakage either. I can recommend it.Good size and shape. Keeps fluids hot/cold for a good amount of time. Cap desperately needs a redesign, it is so awkward to drink from and you may often end up spilling coffee over yourself. If I could give it no star I would, bearly keeps it warm for 2 hours. Very disapointed as its not cheap! As described - beautifully made - and it's keeping my morning coffee really hot. And allowing me to carry it on a bike without spillage.Does what it meant to do, unlike a lot of things these days!
