This is lightweight and cheap but it kinks too easily. The tradeoff might be OK if it works for more than 5 years. Time will tell.Thought this would be great to replace an old (c. 1997) Vacu-flo hose. Wish it could have worked; looks like a quality product and it was compatible with various attachments but not with the power outlet, so it had to go back. Easy return, and my card was credited quickly.Amazing! OEM hose for my system was priced well over $160.00! For a central vacuum hose? Unbelievable. This one was less than half the price and was a shot in the dark but worked out perfectly. In fact better than the original! It’s longer and lighter as well. Our original hose was destroyed by a thoughtless Tennant. Looked like they drove a truck over it. This one is truly crush proof. I walked on it to see what would happen! Passed with flying colors!I use it as a second hose in my garage, works wellPerfect replacement for my old, cracked central vac hose. Light weight, fits precisely in receptacle. I like the on/off switch by the handle. Didn't realize how much suction I was losing with my old house that was cracked, taped and kinked. This new hose is a pleasure to use.Item operated for 3 uses and then the on/off switch failed. Now it's no better than the one I bought this to replace. Disappointed to say the least. Unless you're handy with electrical diagnosis, dont waste your money. Purchase a higher quality or name brand replacement. I voided all warranty and return when I took the handle apart to test the switch. Will now have to find a switch that will fit to replace it. Same issue I had with the old one. Cheap, poor quality electronics. Keep searching. Purchase another brand.I am so happy with this product. It is about 65% less expensive than the local store that installed my original vacuum.I think it kinks less than original hose.Just received the replacement hose today and tried it out. Attachments fit perfectly on the handle end and the hose end fit the receptacle as well. So far, so good. The hose assembly is considerably lighter than the OEM Hoover hose. From an operational perspective, that is a good thing and the price is very good. At this point, we are very happy with the purchase.I ordered this as a replacement for our Kenmore hose. There was a slight shipment issue so I emailed the company and they fixed the problem within 24 hours and were super responsive and helpful.The hose and attachment work great. We don't have any carpet so it is perfect for barefloors.The suction on this hose is terrific. I like that it has an off/on switch. However, this switch quit working the 3rd time I used the hose. Good long length and light weight. Delivery was delayed a few days but that did not really matter to me. I bought this as a second hose instead of having to carry one up and down stairs as my husband and I age. None of the attachments for my current Beam central vacuum system fit on this hose therefore I returned this item as it did not work with my current sytem.Je suis satisfaite de ce boyau. Je suis satisfaite.I purchased this hose as a replacement since the on/off switch on mine went bad.Item looks great and fits perfectly with my current DuoVac accesories. Description says crushproof, while I have not that directly, hose kinks easily which makes me doubt on it. My previous hose was much more rigid on that. However given that this one is 1/3 the price of a replacement of my original one I do not really mind.
