I had an earlier version of this that I loved, loved, loved!I got a treasure truck offer on this one and bought instantly, since it says it works on pet hair. I didn't read any reviews, didn't look at other features, because eh, I already had one and knew how awesome it is...CONSThey took out the headlight? WTL? (where's the light)? WHHHHYYYYYY!?!?!?That light is what helps me FIND the dog hair on my wood floors- before they find each other and become fur tumbleweeds. So, while I shouldn't have bought it without looking at reviews (which I did afterward), that is a major function that I shouldn't have had to consider, thus the 4-star rating.PROSTIMERun time is great, longer than my last one when it was new. To refute the complainers about time, follow instructions. If you let it completely run down several (I think it was 7) times at the beginning, then it can be left on the charger and pulled off for a small job, then put right back on. And, if you find the charge isn't lasting, try letting it run down a few times in a row, that will help.DOG HAIRDog hair... My arch nemesis. This thing does an even better job than I had hoped. I have puggle that shares anything, but mostly his hair. Even though he's brushed daily, I can seriously watch the hair fall off him as he walks. This thing did great on getting close to the walls on both tile and hard floors. It picked up hair it couldn't actually reach - but I could see using a flashlight- from under a bed. I was impressed.SUCTIONMy hubby spilled dry rice all over the kitchen floor, this gobbled it like a boss. Also, its picked up cotton ball sized fluff from dog toys and small leaves from a house plant. It also takes up my haor.To those who said hair gets stuck on the roller, use common sense. Just clean this after you use it each time, especially if you know you're in a place where human hair is more prevalent - like bedrooms and bathrooms. My hair is bright colored, so I can see it easily on the roll. just a quick grab of it each time and no problems. Also, it's totally OK if the stuff in the chamber stops spinning, just keep an eye to see when it's full.I love so much on this, I'm going to keep it, but would not recommend it, because LIGHT.I vacuum twice a day. I have two dogs and I’m after the hair. This vacuum is so much better than my last one that I purchased in 2017. I purchased that one for $99 then and it’s now $300, but that’s another inflation topic! This is super light. The battery has lasted me a good twenty minutes which got my job done. This is not a vacuum to use on big vacuum jobs. I have a living room rug and I do use it for the little stuff (dog hair) but have my Riccar to do the big vacuums, side note, look up the Riccar vacuum, super good and I love mine. I got this one for the light jobs. Riccar does make a cordless but it’s super expensive. So would I recommend this one? Yes, gets the little stuff pretty good and mainly gets the hair picked up. I empty my tank every time I use it, just seems like common sense. I have had this for two weeks now. I’ll update if I have an issue. Oh, and some have had issues that there is no light, I don’t find this to be a big deal, you go back and forth in sections. Would it be nice, sure, but not a deal breaker for me at this price.I Love this Shark Cordless lightweight vacuum, setup very simple. Amazing suction, picks up well on my plush thick carpet, easy to handle. One story, 4 bedrooms, family room, living/dining room. Hallway large kitchen nook, service porch, 3 baths n hall tiled. Its a joy to vacuum, No More hassling cord always in the way. Picks up well on tile flooring. Easy to vacuum tight areas, under furniture better than my Shark Liftaway that constantly falls over when tank is removed from vacuum, and has nicked up walls. constant repairs. also dust n debris get stuck before going thru brush, yes n this is a duo clean. constant cleaning out. hardly anything gets in dirty bin. Watched the video, made to look so simply! Not! Two big sharks, 1st one hose cracked, parts are not replaceable. Emptying dust bin is simple n wipe it out before putting back on vacuum. Filter rinses easily n dries fairly fast, i pat it dry first with towel to remove excess water. I vacuum high traffic areas several times a day now such a breeze, no cord to rewind, no tools falling off vacuum. I vacuum master mattress when sheets n mattress cover are being laundered. Can do whole Cal King mattress from one side of bed. Allergist suggest mattress vacuuming once a week due to allergies, dust mites allergy gone, shots did the trick. Dust mites live on mattress bedding, fabric sofa ETC on top of ceiling fans!!!! SENIOR Single person household, no pets / Allergies, n children grown. Vacuum is stored behind door in my office, vacuum plugged into charger. double doors to office, one doesn't open all the way leaving lil triangle to hide vacuum n plug is also behind the door. No one knows it there. Just received vacuum one week ago, so far so good. Its always charged ready to go. I read all the reviews carefully. Even though some said DON'T BUY because of issues, I decided to take a chance n so glad I did! I would definitely buy again I purchased the extended warranty also. NOTE: usually don't buy even with a few bad reviews. This is a good cordless for the money. I like that it sits in its charger, is always ready to go and doesn't require fiddling with it to get it in/out of the charger. The battery lasts about 7-10 mins on high and is adequate for my purposes. The suction and battery life don't compare to my cordless Bissell, but I use it in my cat room for cleaning up litter and hair, and have no complaints with that. It has two speeds, but I use the high/carpet mode all the time. It won't suck up your rugs (like my Bissell, which is good and bad at the same time), but picks up well. It can flatten for getting under the bed, etc., but its turning is only fair. Also, I didn't realize how important a light at the front was until I didn't have it (this one does not). Overall, for the price, it's a good buy.Adulting so hard, I got excited about buying this vaccuum. It is super lightweight and WIRELESS. I love the fact that I can just swoosh around with this thing without having to change the plug in all the time. I have a fairly large 2 bedroom apartment and the charge is just perfect for that. The only downside I can find is that the bagless container isn't very big so you need to empty it fairly often. (I empty it once per vaccum session of my apartment). Seriously though, I'm like the lady in the Swiffer commercials when I use this thing. I love it!This vacuum is a total piece of garbage. It has almost no power, it won't even suck up kids beads that were spilt on the floor. It does not work on hardwood floors at all. It also does not work for pet hair, clogs ever 2 minutes and it is really hard to clean out when it does clog. Basically, you have to take the vacuum apart and unclog it so much that you end up with a messier floor then you had to begin with. Such a waste of money and time I wish I could return it but I didn't do it in time. Was in the market for a smaller, cordless vacuum for quick jobs - without having to haul out a larger vacuum and fight with the cord. Many of the stick vacuums were not well made and was just a dustbuster with a detachable handle. We have used the Shark brand in the past and were happy with the quality - this one followed suit. Well made, great suction and light-weight. Not quite sure how long the charge lasts as we haven't used it for more than 20-25 minutes and it still had charge left. Easy to clean and love the charger that goes on the floor so you just place the vacuum right back again. (no bending over). The on/off feature as well as tilt are all on the power head as well so there are no buttons to worry about and all foot operated.Great purchase. We haven't broken anything yet, but it feels like its about to break into pieces any second I don't think you could make it from any thinner plastics. Also the cord is super-cheap and the lack of flexibility makes it annoying to work with. It's also developed a whistle or high pitched wine that I can't troubleshoot.Still, we really like it so versatile and powerful in a small package and the "tangle-free" power head and the way it butts right up against the wall is excellent. Maybe if the price was 30% lower we would think of it more like "buy a new one every year".The vacuum guy on YouTube is correct even though it's light weight, most of that weight seems to end up on your wrist. I'd like to see this unit but with the motor and dust collector half way down the handle, and a more expensive power cord.Works very well on carpet and hard floors. The only issue is that it wouldn't be suitable for areas with lots of carpet. The dirt compartment is very small and needs frequent emptying. Other than that it cleans up good. Very light weight and versatile. I do find that it takes a while to fully charge and I don't like how the light still blinks once it's charged, it's very bright and annoying at night. So I take it off the charger once it's done. Also it doesn't come with any crevice tools, so it's strictly a floor vacuum. Which is fine for me but may not be for everyone.
