Bought this to keep water cold on long training rides and it worked perfectly for that. In fact, maybe the insulation is TOO good. I filled it with ice and then with water, and headed out on a 75 mile ride. After a few hours I opened it up to add water, and it was still full of ice! Normally you can count on ice melting to give you cold water, but this was still frozen. Perfect! Also, it fits in my bike cage well, but because of the slick texture it's a little more likely to fly out if you hit a bump than a plastic bottle. But it's built like a tank and didn't get any more than cosmetic damage after bouncing down the road a way. Overall, hightly recomment it.Seems to work fine. Easy to open and drink from. I’ll test how long it maintains beverages cold temps on a long ride this weekend. Bottle arrived with a small dent in the bottom, so the packaging needs a little more product protection’ built in. No functional damage, just cosmetic.Yes the button to flip up the lid is a little difficult to activate but it’s a minor issue. The most important thing is it doesn’t leak. This makes a perfect travel water bottle and also great for taking to the gym or biking.I have other water bottles but none for a bike and your’s is totally fantastic and exceeded all my expectations. The ice I put in stayed “ice” all throughout my ride! So I’ll need to put less in… (never had that ‘problem’… ha!)I've been looking for a stainless steel water bottle I could use for cycling for some time, and the Speedfil Speedflask fits the bill. At $40, the sticker price was a bit hard to swallow, but there aren't a lot of suitable options that pair well with water bottle cages. Then there's the issue with flow rate. Most "sports caps" kind of stuck with a slow flow rate, or a sippy straw style lid that's just silly. The fluid flow rate is of the Speedflask as all you could ask for - press the recessed button to pop the lid, and drink. In reading other Amazon product reviews, I noted a few complaints with the recessed button, but in use I found that to be a feature; if you toss this bottle in a gym bag, the last thing you want is to find something popped the lid open, soaking all your gear.I just got a new bike and this is by far my favorite accessory I purchased. I went to all stainless water bottles a while ago so I wanted something that was meant for the bikes bottle holder that would fit securely. This fits securely. It keeps the water cold and refreshing (in Texas summer) and I love the lid which pops open with a button and is wide enough to drink from easily. Highly recommend! This product was almost perfect but I think it has one glaring design error knocking it down to 3 stars instead of 5. The button to open the lid is not easy to operate when not riding and close to impossible while riding. The button is so tiny, I can not operate it single-handedly. The thumb I would use to click it open is too big for the small button so it is not able to press it to open the lid; it gets caught on the non-button parts. Otherwise, it's a good bottle: insulation is good and keeps drinks cold and it does not flavor the drink.
