This is a complete best value VAC vacuum chamber setup designed built and 100 percent tested in Chicago, Illinois. With our unique patent pending gasket design (utility patent #14/533,548) this chamber is sure to last 10,000 uses with proper care and maintenance. The gasket itself is reversible (doubling the life of our system) allowing customers to instantly take it off and Flip it over. No adhesives are used! our simple gasket design even allows you to place the lid on the chamber somewhat off center and still pull a full vacuum. This is a feature that most other vacuum chambers do not offer. The maximum allowed temperature of this chamber is 160F. The components of this chamber are rated at higher temperatures however as a vacuum vessel we limit maximum operational temperature to 160F. Every chamber is tested prior to shipping to lose no more than 2.5Hg/24Hrs. The lid may be cleaned with any solvent or cleaning agent.
Best value VAC chambers are NOT compatible with stabilization resin (I.E. Cactus juice, Gator Venom, minwax etc.), alcohol, ethanol, acetone and Acrylic based monomers or polymers

The 5 gallon vacuum pot was delivered on time, well packed and in perfect condition. I purchased a Robinair 15500 vacuum pump separately on Amazon and it brought the vacuum down on the 5 gallon Glassvac within a minute. I turned the valve off on the glass vac and removed it from the vacuum pump after it reached peak vacuum as shown in the picture provided. It has held vacuum for 24 hours without losing any vacuum as shown on the gage. I am thoroughly pleased with the 5 gallon Glassvac and recommend it for anyone that is looking to purchase such a device. I did a lot of research and am very satisfied I chose Glassvac. I purchased it for stabilizing wood for my wood turnings and using it along with a pressure pot to make resin wood hybrid castings for turning. I look forward to now putting it into service. if I could give it more stars I would.Decent sized pot for degassing. This version has the thick glass lid which is good for solvents if you have that requirement. I found the handles on the valves a little small.I bought this chamber for wood stabilization. I took it out of the box, hooked it up and immediately pulled a vacuum appropriate for my elevation. The chamber has now been holding the vacuum with no apparent leakage for over 6 hours, far longer than I'll ever need. Couldn't be happier. This chamber has a glass lid which relocated the gauges to the side. I actually prefer that arrangement to the chambers with the gauges in the lid. Holds vacuum very well, no discernible loss of vacuum without the vacuum pump for six hours (I got tired of the pump noise). Very happy with my purchase.Using it for stabilizing wood and other fun stuff. Canister is very nice, gauges come installed, cover is sweet. Holds a vacuum for as long as you let it.This is working to the first order right out of the box. It is exactly what I expected. It works right out of the box. This thing is awful. Very difficult to get it to pull a vacuum. The seal is very thin and the lid is barely larger than the chamber. I actually had the lid shatter on me while it was pulling vacuum. Nothing like picking glass out of a vacuum chamber filled with cactus juice and wood.Gauge broke first after first use. I guess I got the defective one. Will update my review if the replacement actually works. This was a let down for $220
