Great for schoolWe’ve had many versions of the thermo funtainer. The top is easy to open and close for my 5 year old and it really does do a great job of keeping drinks cold. I do feel like the outside design the last few years has gotten scratched off really easily. We will see how long this newest one last. I didn’t realize when I ordered this one it had the old version of the handle. However I didn’t really love the new handle. Felt like it got in the way, so I’m actually kind of happy with that.We have 2 of these with different designs, baby shark design and sharks in outer space which is matte. Love that you can toss in the dishwasher. That does however wear away the design on the non matte style eventually. Not a big deal to me, the convenience out weighs this result but may disappoint someone to see it scratched. My son really likes them and is able to easily carry himself at 2 years old. Wish the inner straw was longer. It’s so short there’s always a few ounces on the bottom that you can’t drink which results in having to refill before the cup is actually empty.As other reviews mentioned, it’s not the same handle as shown in the picture. I was disappointed with that at first… but after several months of use, I realize the flat handle style has its pros and cons. It’s harder for my toddler to release the handle by herself, but the short handle also doesn’t get tangled and in the way of the straw as the longer handle can. The pattern was cute enough to keep it. But, I will also mention that the straw insert is shorter than the other version which makes it slightly more difficult to pull out to clean the individual parts. Bit annoying but not a dealbreaker.It is not the color that it indicates, my son chose this design because it is all blackThermos is an excellent quality brand. However, I saved about $10 purchasing it at Walmart. I still gave 4 stars for Thermos brand but knock off 1 star due to price.The product is perfect for my toddler. Is sturdy for his drops and easy for him to use.Grandson loves it. Bought this for him to take to school, and it fits in the bottle holder netting on his backpack perfectly. Water does stay cold all day, which is important. Didn't try anything hot in it but assume it would be the same case. Doesn't leak, easy to clean and easy for him to drink from.Meant to be leak proof. But certainly isn’t. I turned the two brand new ones I just bought upside down and water pours out. So disappointed as I have used this brand of water bottles for the past few years with no issuesIt leaks when you turn it upside down the right side up. So not useful for toddlers and kids who drop it, run around with it, or otherwise mishandle it.I like the funtainers because they are easy to clean, can take a beating and don’t leak. My daughter love the patterns. I have been using these for water for 10 years.Easy to clean & Replacement parts available!
