First, the iRobot app only functions in portrait mode, which is perfect for the iPhone, but not great when using a 12.9” iPad Pro. It shouldn’t be that difficult for the app programmers to make an interface that works in landscape mode (like almost every other app for iOS).The more important issue I have with my Roomba and Braava (which I use nearly every day) is that there is no apparent way to revert to previous maps or edit rooms in maps. What happens is that the maps will become corrupted when the robot gets stuck or turned around and spins in place for a while. Then, the robot will update the existing map with what it thinks is a new space or room. After a while, I have so many fake, ‘ghost’ rooms in my map that I have to delete it and start again. NOTE: I FIND IT IRRITATING TO HAVE TO GO THROUGH ‘EXPLORE’ MODE AGAIN AND AGAIN. For future versions of the app, I would recommend: 1) don’t let my Roomba/Braava update its working map unless I approve of the proposed changes or have it make the changes on a new copy of the working map; 2) give me the option of editing and deleting any added, fake rooms or spaces within the map; 3) **as a minimum** store at least a couple of previous map versions in the app that I can restore if needed.UPDATE: customer support contacted me and told me I could go through my ‘History’, choose a good map and select ‘Update Map.’ This will replace the corrupted map with a known good one. Unfortunately when I tried this work-around, I received a “Something is not quite right” error. It said the map might be corrupted and it did not work for me.
