8/8/23: This little vac has held up much better than a larger, more expensive replacement we bought that had the same problem of having to be held level or tipped up to prevent contents from falling out. I guess that's just the way hand vacs are now. Once you get used to that, this vac is great. It is lighter and more powerful then the "replacement" which died after just a few months of light use, and is still going strong after years of use.Update 10/6/19: I didn't even get around to starting the return process when my payment was refunded and an email was received from the seller. They suggest using the crevice tool when cleaning up liquids and I will try that as well as give it a second chance in other applications since they said I did not need to return the unit. I will compare it with the new one I bought. Added a star for outstanding customer service.The first thing I did was to vacuum up cat litter. It picked it up fine, but when you turn it off, you have to keep it level or tilt the tip up or the littler will just fall out. Seller said you have to keep it "flatten". Okaaay.I vacuumed up liquid, once again it did a good job sucking it up but trying to hold it perfectly level while carrying it to the sink to empty was impossible and on accidentally tilting it back so the liquid wouldn't spill out the nozzle, the liquid spilled out between the dust collector and the body. Also there is nothing to keep the liquid from getting into the motor. Returning this item.
